This 12-month series focuses on the core competencies and strategies of an effective Director of Nursing. Monthly sessions focus on critical skills including leading teams, implementing strong systems for key tasks, and mastering the QAPI approach to drive performance outcomes. Experienced nurse leaders share key insights to address common problems and high-risk issues that can derail facility success. Each session throughout the year is a mini-workshop which aims to come alongside the busy DON to offer useful strategies to de-stress the role and bring wisdom and clarity to serve residents and staff with excellence.
